PROGRAM
The project proposes to create a new access to the Arc de Triomphe by constructing a tunnel connected to the avenues of the Champs-Élysées and the Grande-Armée. It plans to repurpose existing infrastructure to develop new underground circulation areas (3,165 m²), with the reorganization of cycle paths and pedestrian crossings, as well as the integration of commercial (1,430 m²) and event spaces (409 m²), and green spaces.

DESCRIPTION
This system establishes a connection between the city’s underground networks and its airspace, anchoring the monument to the Parisian landscape while simultaneously creating new spaces dedicated to memorial ceremonies. This optical lens amplifies the monument’s visual impact, multiplying reflections and redefining its topographical relationship with the city.
At the foot of the Arc de Triomphe, the opening carved into its circumference reveals a unique, low-angle view. This architectural gesture reinforces the symbolic power of the monument, which transcends its traditional function to reinvent its commemorative role. A new dynamic emerges, enhancing the memorial experience and imbuing this place with a previously absent emotional depth.
