DESCRIPTION
Vinci’s headquarters is anchored in the heart of an interchange on the A86, on a disused section of the motorway. Faced with a marked duality — an opening towards the city on one side, the pressure of a road network on the other — the building adopts a protective posture, like a rock sculpted by its environment.
Its curved plan and tapered profile sculpt a volume like a massive back that absorbs the dynamics of traffic and envelops a vast interior space, open to the city yet sheltered from the outside tumult. At the rear, the building rests upon a thick layer of vegetation, reinforcing this natural envelope and transforming a constrained site into a territory where urban resilience takes on its full meaning.
