DESCRIPTION
Located in line with the nearby railway bridge, the complex asserts a strong, metropolitan-scale presence while fitting into the traditional grid of Viennese city blocks. The project comprises two buildings organized within the dimensions of a city block, whose cantilevered upper volumes mark the main entrances: one facing the river, the other towards the city and transport infrastructure.
Inside, two complementary atmospheres structure the whole: an atrium designed as a covered plaza and an interior garden opening onto the quayside and the Danube landscape. Linked by a common infrastructure and an underground passage, the buildings house offices organized around patios, promoting natural light and the building’s thermal performance.
