DESCRIPTION
Seeking a balance between the artificial and the natural, the building aims to be both transparent and shimmering. This is why it consists of glass facades that allow the eye to pass through, while the structure itself, drawing a circular shape open to the landscape, dematerializes and disappears, thanks to a shiny metallic coating that reflects the vegetation and the sun’s rays.
The pavilion sits atop a carpet of circular lawns that enhance its appearance, integrate it into its surroundings, and also serve as picnic areas.
Inside, echoing these lawns and the building’s overall shape, brightly colored circles are painted on the floor. To incorporate a kitchen, an office, and restrooms into this completely open-plan space, a biomorphic structure is positioned at the center of the pavilion. On either side of this structure are the information desk and the café. While the former welcomes visitors on its concave side, the latter is situated on the convex side, offering patrons an unobstructed view of the park.
