DESCRIPTION
Like a stack of strata, inspired by the very mechanisms of the site’s formation, the structure clings to the excavated walls, leaving voids in certain places between the building and the rock. Natural flora develops there, reintegrating the soil into the life cycle and thus repairing a landscape scarred by former industrial activity.
The architecture appears as a natural concretion with multiple flexible tentacles, stretched in various directions and endowed with an organic plasticity in symbiosis with its environment. An extension of the topography, the multicultural and multimodal facility accommodates vast public spaces, embodying the idea of connection and transforming the quarry into a living space, deeply rooted in its territory.
