SYNOPSIS
Living in Greater Paris – The ‘Hôtel Métropole’ initiative explores new ways of living on a metropolitan scale. Based on the observation that the metropolis cannot be viewed as a homogeneous city, the project encourages us to recognise the diversity and discontinuities of the Île-de-France region. It envisions a more flexible housing model, adapted to contemporary mobility and changing life trajectories, particularly for those who do not settle permanently in one place.

The ‘Hôtels Métropoles’ scheme therefore involves setting up temporary accommodation and housing facilities on an ad hoc basis, designed to revitalise existing metropolitan hubs and experiment with new forms of community living, whilst addressing the urgent need to provide housing in the Greater Paris area.
