SYNOPSIS
The Albums de la Jeune Architecture promote the discovery of young architects who have been noticed through competitions, without having had the opportunity to realize their projects. The current project selection system, although it gives young architects more chances than in the past to try their luck, still results in most cases in denying them the possibility to build.

Juries award them second prizes or special mentions, but still show a strong preference for safe bets — that is, those who have already proven themselves. The young winners of major competitions, whom the Albums de la Jeune Architecture will bring to wider attention, must be offered new opportunities quickly. This is especially true among private clients and, above all, public commissioners, to whom these publications will be widely distributed.
