SYNOPSIS
The story of a Parisian address. 83 Marceau encapsulates the architectural and urban transformations of the capital. Purchased by Société Foncière Lyonnaise in 2001, the building designed by Claude Barré, a disciple of Albert Laprade, underwent an ambitious restructuring from 2019 to 2021. For the project, Dominique Perrault envisioned applying his Groundscape theory on the use of underground spaces to enhance a true concrete iceberg with six above-ground levels and eight below. Beyond this, the project blends a desire for elegance with ecological imperatives, all in pursuit of excellence.
