SYNOPSIS
For over twenty years, Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost, a partner architect and designer, has been collaborating with Dominique Perrault on the design and interior fit-out of these buildings: seating, lighting, metal mesh walls, and so on. Together, the two designers create environments that seamlessly blend architecture and furniture.
The objects designed by Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost are produced by manufacturers around the world: Fontana Arte, DCW, Silvera, Poltrona Frau, Alessi, Baccarat, Chevalier, Sawaya & Moroni, Galerie Kréo, FSB… The book analyses the influences that led to the design of these pieces of furniture and lighting, offering an insight into their origins. It also presents the various directions they are likely to take, from one project to the next. For the first time, this book presents, through more than 600 illustrations – plans, models and photographs – the complete collection of objects created by Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost, some of which, such as the chairs for the BnF, are already iconic.
