DESCRIPTION
Nestled beneath a vast perforated metal canopy that acts as a shade sail, the building is anchored to the topography by a thick earthen wall that seems to make it emerge from the ground. The architecture contrasts a massive, protective exterior with an open and luminous interior, organized around three patio gardens that encourage movement, interaction, and vegetation.
The perforated roof and sunshades provide shade and natural ventilation, creating simple and effective climate comfort. Its low height and integration into the ground evoke a sand-based architecture, combined with a low-tech modernity adapted to Cairo’s climate.
