DESCRIPTION
The metal mesh roof that crowns the school in Marne-la-Vallée envelops the entire building, forming a light and flexible veil. Seen from the outside, it appears as a large glass box, open to air and light.
The mesh, both flexible and graceful, acts as a kind of “in-the-case” barrier, offering protection against rain, wind, and sun. The metal-glass combination ensures diffuse and homogeneous interior lighting, while generating a perceptible halo of light around the building.
