Launched in 2018 by Dominique Perrault and the National Estate of Chambord, the call for projects succeeded in March 2018 with the selection of 18 universities all around the world. Supported by Chambord's architecture, a cluster of projects proposing to revive the architectural utopia of the château has been developed, each from various cultural and geographical postures. Integrated to the scenography of the patrimonial exhibition, the 18 proposals are as many ways of thinking a reinvented Chambord, seeking to open up a reflexion on the real through a fictional representation.

The members of the jury have particularly appreciated the in-depth and rigorous approach of historical, architectural and environmental issues. They were likewise impressed by the innovative aspect of these proposals as well as the exceptional quality of the images and films produced. To these 4 prices, a Public Prize will be added to which visitors will be invited to participate to during the whole period of the exhibition. The several proposals will be exhibited within the Château de Chambord from May 26th 2019.
