DESCRIPTION
The needs expressed by the municipality led to the structuring of the Place Gramsci project around two main axes. The first, related to the square’s heat, aimed to offer passersby an oasis of coolness: a green space, located diametrically opposite the church and composed of maritime pines and sessile oaks, now provides a shady oasis during the summer. This space interacts with minimalist metal trees which, at night, take over the lively atmosphere of the square by diffusing a soft light that fosters peaceful encounters.

The second objective was to create a previously non-existent relationship between the public space and the church of Saint Ambrosius. This was achieved through a pedestrian walkway that now allows for the organization of a weekly market at the foot of tall light fixtures that extend the axis of the church’s pediment.
