DESCRIPTION
He begins by restoring the large historical openings that were once essential for ventilating underground spaces. Reactivated, these recesses are transformed into sunken gardens, weaving a link between the surface and the underground, reconnecting the visible city and its subterranean architecture.
The station building, erected on this slab, is also being redesigned: the end pavilions are being faithfully reconstructed, while the central section is being renewed through the addition of floors and a roof, opening the way to new uses. Every architectural gesture is respectful of what already existed, while simultaneously reviving the historical memory of the site.
